2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 25

Scouting Report. CB. Georgia. Tyson Campbell. 16. Pick Analysis. 25. player

In Tre’Davious White, the Buffalo Bills have arguably the best cornerback in the entire NFL. White has grown into an absolute lock-down defender at the cornerback position and is one of the most impactful defensive players in the league. Led by White and a strong safety group, the Bills have put together a fantastic secondary that helps lead their great defensive unit.

However, they do have a hole at the second cornerback position. If the Bills can find the right cornerback to pair with White, their secondary would become absolutely dominant. Here, Buffalo swings for some upside at the position, adding Georgia’s Tyson Campbell to the mix.

Campbell is a long and athletic cornerback prospect who shows impressive short-area quickness and is smooth in coverage. He is a tough press coverage defender at the line of scrimmage but also shows the ability to click and close on the ball in off-coverage. Campbell is a slick man coverage defender who undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level.

If Campbell could come into Buffalo and reach his ceiling, the Bills would have an elite secondary and a defensive that could legitimately lead them to a title. Big, long, athletic and instinctive, what more could you want out of a cornerback on the outside?
