2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 12

Alabama. player. Dylan Moses. 12. 44. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB

I absolutely love the idea of Dylan Moses in Atlanta, pairing him with Deion Jones at the linebacker position. Jones has struggled with injuries at times, but when he is on the field, he is undoubtedly one of the most talented and impactful linebackers in the NFL. Adding Moses to the mix would give the Falcons an incredibly exciting duo at off-ball linebacker.

Moses feels like a nice combination of a modern and traditional NFL linebacker. He shows impressive natural athleticism at the position, ranging from sideline-to-sideline making plays all over the field. He also shows impressive natural playmaking ability against the run and plays tough in the middle of the field. Moses displays strong block-shed ability and is also a reliable tackler in space.

His strong combination of size, speed and athleticism should also lead to a lot of long-term upside in man coverage. However, he is a bit underdeveloped in this area at this point of his career and it will be interesting to see him grow in this area this season. Moses does show good instinct in zone and can certainly create pressure on the quarterback in the blitz game.

Simply put, Moses is a rock-solid linebacker prospect who undoubtedly has a high ceiling at the next level. He fits the modern NFL extremely well and adding him to the mix would give the Atlanta Falcons arguably the best young off-ball linebacker duo in the entire league.
