New York Jets 2021 mock draft: Time to re-set at QB?
4. Tutu Atwell, WR, Louisville
After stealing Baylor’s Denzel Mims in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Jets make another highway robbery here in the third round with the selection of Louisville wide receiver Tutu Atwell.
While Mims is a very good athlete at his size profile, Atwell is a dynamic speed type of playmaker at the receiver position who could be a great option inside at the next level.
Last season for the Cardinals, he averaged over 18 yards per catch and scored 11 touchdowns. He is equally capable of a hefty target share as well as making the most of limited opportunities, which would make him a really attractive option at this juncture of the NFL Draft.
The Jets have to add weapons for whoever is going to be playing quarterback for them, and Atwell would be an option to keep defenses from loading up the box against the run.
