The New York Jets have some pretty pronounced needs heading into the 2021 offseason, including the cornerback position.

Asante Samuel Jr. has shown a lot of the same traits his father did as an NFL player, picking off passes left and right including two in his debut for the Seminoles in 2020.

With 25 passes defended in 24 career college games, Samuel is a guy who can be counted on to go out and make plays on the football, something the New York Jets desperately need at the cornerback position.

Although they have needs at receiver and off the edge as well, Samuel was the top value with this second first-round selection in the simulation run, and he would be a tremendous addition to a reloading defense.
