The Buffalo Bills took a chance on the toolsy Josh Allen in the 2018 NFL Draft, and with a strong defense, a good offensive line, and the addition of Stefon Diggs, there’s a chance this is his year to break out. The Bills also enter the 2020 NFL Season as AFC East favorites for the first time in what feels like forever, and Allen is a part of that.

Allen has flashed in his first two seasons with the Bills. His arm strength is off the charts, and there isn’t a window that scares him off, just like in college. Allen can make plays off-platform and on the move, and is a special athlete who is a threat to pick up big time yardage when he runs. No one will forget his hurdle against Minnesota.

The issue with Allen is his accuracy. There are bad misses on tape, on every part of the field. He lacks touch as a passer and has left some touchdowns out there. On top of that, Allen will miss occasional reads. It seems like Allen does better when things break down and when he’s on the move.

So what should we see in the 2020 NFL season? The hope is new weapons across the board at receiver will help with Allen’s accuracy, especially Diggs as a separator and a pair of rookies with large catch radii. If Allen improves his accuracy, he can be a high-level starter in the league and prove many wrong.
