Baker Mayfield

The 2020 NFL season will be an important one for the Browns quarterback. After taking over for Tyrod Taylor in his rookie season, Mayfield had a great year. He showed off his abilities that got him to be the first overall pick in college. His playmaking ability outside the pocket, his accuracy, and arm strength were his selling points. Mayfield was also a gamer, with the poise and toughness to keep fighting no matter what.

Year two was a bit of a struggle under new head coach Freddie Kitchens. Mayfield and the newly minted offense, featuring Odell Beckham Jr., flamed out after giant expectations. He committed bad turnovers, one of his few flaws out of college, and never got into a good rhythm at all.

Year three brings a third head coach in three seasons, Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski will want to establish the run via the outside zone, and hopefully get Mayfield into a better rhythm. The offensive tackle spots have been addressed, and all his top weapons are returning. Everything is set up for Mayfield to have a great year and prove he’s the franchise quarterback. Now, he just has to prove that the accuracy, poise, and playmaking ability will return in spades and that he will limit turnovers.
