2021 NFL Draft Round 1, Pick 27 (Tennessee Titans, 12-4)

35. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida. Kyle Pitts. Tight End. 27. player

The Titans were a Cinderella team last year after switching to Ryan Tannehill under center and the 2020 season could be a similar story. They lost right tackle Jack Conklin, but the core of their team elsewhere is returning.

Obviously this offense will run through Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown is on watch as a breakout player that could be a top 10 player at the wide receiver position, but going beyond those two the Titans don’t have a whole lot of weapons.

Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Jonnu Smith will all be given opportunities this year, but if they can’t come through they might be replaced. Of the trio, Smith is the most concerning to me. He’s had chances to prove himself when Delanie Walker went down over the last few seasons and didn’t come through.

If this season is more of the same from him, the Titans could be in the market for a tight end and Kyle Pitts is the top one on the board here. At 6-foot-6, he has a huge frame that led to five touchdowns last year at Florida. He is still a bit raw, but his size is incredibly intriguing as a red zone threat.
