Chicago Bears 2021 NFL Draft Need: Wide Receiver

If the Bears are not able to bring back Allen Robinson when he becomes a free agent next offseason, wide receiver could quickly become the most obvious position of need on this roster. Robinson has grown into a true number one option in Chicago and getting him back in the mix needs to be towards the top of their priority list next offseason.

After Robinson, Anthony Miller stands out as the best long-term piece at the position. Miller has had an up-and-down start to his NFL career, but he is a smooth route-runner who has shown some nice run-after-catch ability. He has a chance to take his game to the next level in 2020 and give this team a much better outlook at the wide receiver position.

Speedster Darnell Mooney and jump-ball target Javon Wims have some realistic upside at the position, but both players are completely unproven at the moment. They could quickly become interesting long-term assets but for now, both players are essentially lottery tickets.

When it comes down to it, wide receiver is just another obvious offensive position of need for the Chicago Bears going forward. Finding a true franchise quarterback would help hide some of these holes but in reality, this team has a ton of work to do on the offensive side of the ball on top of likely finding a new quarterback.
