Chicago Bears 2021 NFL Draft Need: Offensive Line

The Bears’ starting offensive tackle duo of Charles Leno Jr. and Bobby Massie leaves plenty to be desired. They are not terrible, but the position could and should be improved as soon as possible. Both players have contracts that the Bears can easily move on from in the coming years, so if the right opportunity presents itself, Chicago could swing big and add an impact offensive tackle to the mix in the 2021 NFL Draft.

On the interior, the Chicago Bears will be marching out James Daniels, Cody Whitehair and Germain Ifedi as their starters from left to right. They hope that Daniels and Whitehair continue to be an important part of their team going forward, but Ifedi is likely nothing more than a stop-gap solution who they will likely be looking to replace next offseason. Ideally, the Bears would find a potential long-term option at right guard at some point in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Out of their five starting players across the offensive line this season, the Bears could easily be looking to replace three of those players as soon as next season. The offensive line as a whole needs some work and if Chicago expects Trubisky, Foles or whoever ends up playing quarterback to reach their potential, they will need some improvements up front.
