Pick Analysis. QB. 1. player. 879. Scouting Report. Clemson. Trevor Lawrence

This has been the consensus in early mocks for the 2021 NFL Draft, and it will continue here. This will be the fruit that bears from a Jacksonville Jaguars tank. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the overwhelming favorite as the top quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft right now and possesses a plethora of tools to work with.

The first thing that stands out on tape is his poise in the pocket. He maneuvers so well even with chaos abounding around him. Lawrence makes throws look easy on the move, has mastered the back-shoulder throw, and flashes some ridiculous placement. His accuracy down the field was hot and cold last season, so a more consistent 2020 deeper down the field would cement him as one of the better quarterback prospects in recent memory.

CB. Caleb Farley. Virginia Tech. 1. player. 847. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

This might seem a bit odd, especially considering the Jacksonville Jaguars selected C.J. Henderson in the first round last year. However, after taking a glance at the current corner room, there are a bunch of question marks. D.J. Hayden likely mans the slot, but it’s likely a day three pick or UDFA starts alongside Henderson week one.

Enter Caleb Farley, who made the decision to opt-out to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft. Farley is in a good position to take the “CB1” title by the time the draft rolls around. He thrives best in off-man coverage, but shows good instincts and plays competitively throughout his reps.
