2021 NFL Draft Round 1, Pick 4

4. 31. Penn State. Micah Parsons. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. player

If one of the top three quarterback prospects were still available, this may be a tough decision for the New York Giants. They obviously do not want to give up on Daniel Jones already, but if a top-tier quarterback prospect were available, it may be a tough decision. However, that point is moot with quarterbacks going with the top three picks of this mock draft.

With the fourth overall selection in this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, the Giants make a significant addition on the defensive side of the ball. Micah Parsons is arguably the best defensive prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class and would give the Giants a player who they could legitimately build their defense around.

Parsons is a freak athlete at the linebacker position who shows tremendous range at all times. He is quick and explosive in small spaces and can cover a ton of space against the run and in pass coverage.

Parsons is also a willing and reliable tackler in the middle of the field and even shows some upside as a pass rusher. He is truly a jack-of-all-trades at the linebacker position and has a chance to come in and quickly be one of the premier defensive players in the entire NFL.

This Giants’ roster needs a lot of work and Parsons is the kind of high-level player who they should be targeting next offseason. This selection is relatively easy, Parsons is a tremendous player who would quickly bring some much-needed stability to the Giants’ defense.
