2021 NFL Draft Round 1, Pick 10

Alabama. Dylan Moses. LB. player. 28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 10

Personally, I would like to see the Las Vegas Raiders attack the quarterback position in the 2021 NFL Draft. They have done a great job of finding impact young talent in recent years, but their ceiling always seems limited with Derek Carr under center. The sooner the Raiders can find an adequate long-term replacement for Carr, the better.

Unfortunately, there simply is not a quarterback available who is worth taking in this range. Perhaps somebody will establish themselves as a worthy option by the time the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around, but as of right now, any quarterback pick here would be a reach. Instead, the Raiders look to the defensive side of the ball and make a major addition at the linebacker position.

Dylan Moses missed the entire 2019 season with a knee injury, but he appears to be healthy and ready to go for the upcoming season. Assuming he is healthy, it will not take Moses long to establish himself as one of the premier defenders in the 2021 NFL Draft class.

Moses is a tough and athletic linebacker who can legitimately range from sideline-to-sideline. He shows fantastic natural instincts both against the run and in pass coverage and has the physical skill-set to consistently make plays all over the field. While his raw speed and athleticism commonly stand out on tape, Moses is also a physical defender who is not afraid to come up and mix it up on the inside.

Assuming he returns well from the knee injury, Moses will establish himself as a worthy top 10 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft this season. He would be a perfect addition to the middle of the Raiders’ defense and would likely take the unit to the next level right away.
