2021 NFL Draft: Three-round mock draft featuring early quarterback run

Predicting the landing spots of the top 2021 NFL Draft prospects with a three-round 2021 NFL mock draft scenario.

The 2021 NFL Draft process is going to be unlike anything that we have ever seen before. The college football world was just one of many things that were flipped upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic and it is obviously going to have a major impact on the 2021 NFL Draft process.

As of right now, the Big Ten and Pac-12 are not even playing 2020 seasons. The SEC, ACC and Big 12 will try to move forward as usual, but their seasons are undoubtedly shaky as well. It is certainly possible that we have seen a huge majority of the relevant film on the 2021 NFL Draft class. Sure, we expect to see basically full seasons out of SEC, ACC and Big 12 prospects, but that is far from guaranteed.

With this being the case, we could see a lack of breakout players throughout the final season of the upcoming draft process. Whoever could be the Baker Mayfield or Joe Burrow of the 2021 NFL Draft class may not be given an opportunity to prove himself in his final college season. This means that our early mock draft scenarios could prove to be much more accurate than most seasons.

Early mock drafts like this are typically extremely inaccurate and difficult to put too much stock in to. However, with a potentially limited college football season ahead of us, we may already know most of what we are going to know about these prospects.

This early in the process, it is difficult to determine a mock draft order. Simply going by the Vegas odds is always a strong option, but I wanted to mix it up a bit. To determine the 2021 NFL Draft order for this process, I went over to Playoff Predictors and made my choices for each game of the season. After predicting each regular season and post-season game, I had a draft order to work with.

Without further ado, let’s move forward with this three-round 2021 NFL mock draft. In this process, we are going to go through and place prospects with specific teams for the first three rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft.
