Pass Rusher

The most obvious positions of need for the Jags come on the offensive side of the ball. They have spent significant resources on their defense in recent years and I would not be surprised to see more attention paid to the offense in the 2021 NFL Draft. That being said, this is far from a complete defensive unit. There is still plenty of work to do on that side of the ball.

In particular, I would like to see the Jags invest in some more players who can attack the quarterback. Their young edge duo of Josh Allen and K’Lavon Chaisson is exciting but relatively unproven and this team could also use some impact rushers from the interior. The need for an interior rusher will primarily depend on the growth of Taven Bryan, but there is certainly a chance that the need quickly becomes quite large.

While I would not consider any defensive position a massive need for the Jags at this point in the 2021 NFL Draft process, they will obviously be looking to address that side of the ball at some point. As they continue to rebuild their defensive unit, finding guys who can create havoc up front is always a strong bet.

Potential 2021 NFL Draft targets: Quincy Roche, Kwity Paye, Joe Tryon, Jayson Oweh, Marvin Wilson, Christian Barmore and Jaylen Twyman
