BOULDER, CO – OCTOBER 27: Quarterback Steven Montez #12 of the Colorado Buffaloes is sacked by linebacker Hamilcar Rashed Jr. #9 of the Oregon State Beavers in the second quarter of a game at Folsom Field on October 27, 2018 in Boulder, Colorado. (Photo by Dustin Bradford/Getty Images) /

The Los Angeles Rams traded away their first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Even though the Rams are having trouble re-signing Ramsey, the expectation is that a deal will ultimately get done and that trade will have been worth their tremendous trouble.

When they actually have a pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Rams would be wise to use it on a pass rusher, currently the weakest area of their roster (at least, off the edge).

Hamilcar Rashed is a guy who could pop up even higher in mock draft scenarios after his monster year at Oregon State in 2019 when he racked up 14 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss.

He’s a productive pass rusher who would be a nice value at this point of the draft.
