2021 NFL Draft: 2-round mock draft using ESPN’s order prediction
The Saints have a situation coming up in the 2020 offseason with Alvin Kamara’s contract expiring, and while there’s no doubt they would like to keep him around, Travis Etienne would have to be an option in round one even if they do.
Etienne is such a good value at this juncture of the first round, and the idea of pairing him up with Kamara for a year before replacing Kamara with Etienne in 2022 is very enticing.
Saints fans know all about Jaycee’s dad Joe, a receiver for the team who was a four-time Pro Bowl selection in the early 2000s.
Jaycee has been overshadowed some by his teammate Israel Mukuamu in the 2021 NFL Draft circuit but he led the team last season with nine pass breakups, he has NFL (and Saints) bloodlines, and he’s a well-rounded player who could be a day-one starter for New Orleans.
