Pick Analysis. Journey Brown. 42. Scouting Report. RB. Penn State. 29. player

Although the 49ers may have more pressing needs on their roster beyond this season, I like the idea of them taking advantage of the depth of the running back position in this class and a guy like Journey Brown who is poised to be the next great back from the Nittany Lions program.

Brown averaged nearly seven yards per carry last year and racked up 13 scrimmage touchdowns. He has such natural ability as a runner, both in terms of his size and athleticism as well as vision and balance.

He would be tremendous in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

Stanford. Paulson Adebo. 61. 42. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. player

Richard Sherman is a former wide receiver converted to cornerback who has had some success in the NFL, and perhaps he could show the ropes to a guy with a similar story in Paulson Adebo.

Adebo has gotten his hands on the ball a lot, picking off eight passes and breaking up 27. His raw talent back there and ability to get his hands on the ball is exceptional. Consistency will be key for him.
