After Michael Pierce opted out of the 2020 season and Linval Joseph was released (before signing with the LA Chargers) the Vikings’ interior defensive line depth was torched.
This team has needs on the IDL and EDGE and even with the chance that some guys from their massive 2020 NFL Draft class could break out, a player like Barmore would be nice at this point in round one.
A big body with long arms and raw power, Barmore was a 1st-team SEC freshman selection last year and he could boost his stock if he puts more production with his tremendous talent.

The Vikings need a spark off the edge, and Malone — who racked up 20.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks last year for Western Kentucky — could very well provide it.
