An early 2021 NFL Draft wish list for the Denver Broncos.

The Denver Broncos have worked hard over the last three offseasons (2018-20) to course correct from what was a complete failure of a ‘re-load’ as John Elway called it after the team’s victory in Super Bowl 50.

Following their triumph in Super Bowl 50, the Broncos tried to trade for Colin Kaepernick but couldn’t agree to a re-structured contract. That led them to trading up from the 31st overall pick (the Patriots had to forfeit a first-round pick in 2016) to draft Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch.

Lynch was a combination of elite physical tools, upside, and zero preparation or leadership skills.

He didn’t even make it to a third season with the Broncos before the team cut ties and moved forward with Case Keenum and Chad Kelly (no kidding) in 2018.

The Broncos then drafted Drew Lock with the 42nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and in Lock’s five starts to finish out the 2019 season, the team went 4-1. The Broncos did everything to build around Lock in the 2020 offseason, making a big splash in free agency and the NFL Draft on offense by signing guard Graham Glasgow, running back Melvin Gordon, and drafting wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler.

The Broncos even drafted Lock’s best buddy from college, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, in the fourth round.

Having built around Lock with a defensive-specialist at head coach in Vic Fangio, the Denver Broncos seem poised to make some noise sooner rather than later, but one more offseason and strong draft class could really push this team over the top.

What’s on the 2021 NFL Draft wish list for the Broncos before we even kick off the 2020 NFL season?

Let’s take a look.
