1. Alaric Jackson, offensive tackle

Alaric Jackson has been the Hawkeyes’ starting left tackle since 2017 when he was a Freshman All-American.

Even working through an injury in 2019 and missing three games, Jackson earned third-team All-Big Ten honors and has certainly put enough on tape to be selected by an NFL program in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he needed the 2020 season to really improve upon what he showed in 2019, which was seemingly a step back from previous years.

Some scouts don’t know if Jackson is a guard or a tackle at the NFL level, and even though he has plenty of tape out there to project his skill set to the next level, it would have been ideal to see him with another fully healthy season and how he’s developed.

Not having a 2020 season could be the difference between Jackson being a top 100 pick or not.
