811. Scouting Report. WR. Michigan. Ronnie Bell. Pick Analysis. 4. player

The New England Patriots have a lot of work to do when it comes to their group of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. If 2019 first-round pick N’Keal Harry can take a major step forward in his second season, this group is going to look much better. However, even if Harry breaks out in a big way, the Patriots still need to find some quality depth at the wide receiver position.

In the fourth round of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Pats find some of that quality depth when they add Michigan wide receiver Ronnie Bell to the mix. Bell is not overly big or explosive, but he is a tough and reliable receiver who consistently finds space in the middle of the field.

Bell is a quick and decisive route runner who wins a majority of his routes against man coverage in the slot. He is also a smooth athlete who is naturally elusive in the open field. Bell does a great job of finding space and making the most out of his ability on every play.

He is never going to be a true number one in any offense, but Bell is an extremely tough player who you can count on to make plays in big spots. Bell would be a nice value selection for the New England Patriots in this range as they look to build out the depth in their wide receiver room.
