New Mexico State – Rashie Hodge Jr., Linebacker, Senior

New Mexico State isn’t exactly known for producing NFL talent. In the last five years, the Aggies have had just two draft picks. In 2018 the Ravens selected Jaleel Scott in the fourth round and then this past year Jason Huntley went in the fifth to the Lions. However, Rashie Hodge Jr. could help change that narrative in the 2021 NFL Draft.

During the 2019 season, Hodge finished second for New Mexico State in tackles, logging 90 over 12 games. Hodge also led the Aggies in tackles for loss with 10, but that’s far from where his stat sheet stopped. He was able to force two fumbles while also recovering two fumbles. In the secondary he added two pass breakups and an interception.

Before arriving at New Mexico State, Hodge spent two seasons at Glendale Community College, where he also led the team in tackles for loss and was second in tackles during the 2018 season, spelling out consistency for his play. He also made an impact at Glendale CC by forcing three fumbles and recovering an impressive seven.

Hodge definitely has the ability to make it to the NFL because of his various ways to have an impact on the game. Being able to create turnovers the way he does will always draw attention from scouts.
