2021 NFL Draft: Top prospects to watch for each ACC team
By Kyle Edmond
Florida State – Tamorrion Terry, Wide Receiver, Redshirt Junior
Florida State had just one player selected this past year with Cam Akers going to the Los Angeles Rams and a different offensive weapon could be taken in the 2021 NFL Draft in addition to the more obvious pick of Marvin Wilson. In a deep wide receiver class, Tamorrion Terry could be a sleeper that will make an impact at the next level.
The top receiver a year ago for Florida State, Terry hauled in 60 receptions, 24 more than the next highest total. On those 60 receptions, Terry produced 1,188 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, both team-highs by a long shot. The production was enough for him to be named second-team All-ACC.
Terry also has big-play ability that can set him apart from the class. At Florida State, he has nine 50+ yard touchdowns, which is tied for the second-most in the ACC over the last 15 years.
With Akers now in the NFL, the running game might not be as strong as this past season, meaning Florida State could rely more on the passing game this coming season. After having almost 1,200 receiving yards on a team that ran the ball a lot last season, Terry could have an even bigger season in 2020 to help propel him into the 2021 NFL Draft.
