2021 NFL Draft: Top prospects to watch for each ACC team
By Kyle Edmond
NC State – Louis Acceus, Linebacker, Senior
Despite having an injury cut his junior season short by four games, Louis Acceus was still impressive on the field and has a lot of momentum pushing him into the 2020 season. Before his injury, Acceus led NC State in tackles for three games, including a mark of 14 against Syracuse that stood as the highest single-game total for the season.
Starting all eight games he played, Acceus was still able to register 50 tackles on the season, the fourth-most for the team. He also tied for third on the team in tackles for loss with seven as well as being third for sacks with 4.5.
Having played so few games and still being so high on the stat sheet goes to show the year that was in the making for Acceus before it was cut short. Had he finished out the season his name would be deep in the conversations about the best linebackers in the country.
However, as it sits now, he is just hoping to show that he can still do it at a high level and use another chance at entering that conversation to his advantage. For the teams that already have him on their boards, he could end up being a big steal in April.
