3. Miami Dolphins: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

The Miami Dolphins had three first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The former Alabama star is going into a very fun situation with the Dolphins, and it’s hard to see them being worse in 2020 with him under center, especially if he’s able to stay healthy.

Apparently, PFF thinks very little of the Dolphins’ overall roster, and parts of that certainly make sense.

Still, this team overachieved with a worse roster in 2019 and I think we could see them as a contender in the AFC East in 2020.

If they are picking this high, it’s hard not to be intrigued by the possibility of Ja’Marr Chase in this slot. Chase averaged over 21 yards per catch last year for LSU, and he caught 84 passes.

That’s downright silly production.

As a result, he won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver. Without Joe Burrow under center for LSU in 2020 and without Justin Jefferson drawing attention in the slot, it will be fascinating to see how Chase performs.

Provided there’s a college season of some sort.
