29. Kansas City Chiefs: Asante Samuel Jr., CB, Florida State

The rich keep on getting richer.

The Kansas City Chiefs are about as well constructed as a team can be in the modern NFL with Patrick Mahomes already a league and Super Bowl MVP before any of his massive contract extension starts to count against the cap.

Mahomes’ deal structure allowed the Chiefs not only to trade for and sign a player like Frank Clark off the edge, but also to keep Chris Jones around and happy as well as bring in Tyrann Mathieu last season.

With all of that said, the clearest area of weakness on the Kansas City roster right now — barring breakout performances — is at cornerback.

How about a legacy player to come and fill the need?

Asante Samuel Jr.’s dad could really play, and even though he and Andy Reid maybe have some history, this would be a great pickup for KC at the bottom of the first round.
