27. Dallas Cowboys: Caden Sterns, S, Texas

The Dallas Cowboys didn’t get a long-term deal done with Dak Prescott, which will be a dark cloud hanging over their entire 2020 season.

Even if Prescott had signed a contract extension, the Cowboys couldn’t possibly replace all of the talent they had hit the 2020 free agent market in one offseason, and that’s where Caden Sterns comes into play.

The Cowboys brought in Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix to potentially fill in for this season, but will he be a long-term option? They may need to address this position high in the 2021 NFL Draft, and this kid would be a fun option.

The local Longhorns product has been a stud in his first two seasons of college ball, racking up 121 total tackles over the past two seasons with four interceptions, seven tackles for loss, and five pass breakups.

Sterns could be a player the Cowboys look at, or maybe they decide to try and package some picks together to make the long-anticipated trade for Jets safety Jamal Adams, who has been rumored to be interested in a trade to Dallas.
