13. Atlanta Falcons: Jaylen Twyman, DL, Pittsburgh

There were rumors leading up to the 2020 NFL Draft that the Atlanta Falcons were potentially interested in trading up for someone like Jeffrey Okudah or Javon Kinlaw to upgrade their defense.

They ultimately stayed put with the 16th overall pick and selected AJ Terrell out of Clemson, taking defensive lineman Marlon Davidson later on.

With Davidson’s flexibility to play off the edge, the idea of the Falcons going after more of an interior player with this pick is intriguing.

Jaylen Twyman burst onto the scene for Pittsburgh last season, racking up 41 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, and a pair of pass breakups.

Twyman has a good first step off the snap and some nice length, strength, and pass rush ability from the interior.

With Marlon Davidson, Dante Fowler Jr., and Grady Jarrett, Twyman’s arrival could give the Falcons one of the most athletic and disruptive defensive fronts in the NFC.
