First round: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon

You’ve got your franchise quarterback in place. You’ve got a cornerstone piece defensively in Chase Young.

The next big piece the Washington Football Team needs? Left tackle.

The draft-weekend trade of Trent Williams solidified this team’s need to go after the left tackle position high in the 2021 offseason, whether they do that in free agency or the 2021 NFL Draft.

If they have the chance to get Penei Sewell?

That should be a no-brainer.

Sewell is being touted as the best left tackle prospect to come to the NFL in the past couple of decades, and he gets it done both as a pass protector and run blocker.

He has tremendous size, length, strength, footwork, and outstanding instincts out there. And the scary thing is — he’s just getting better.

This would give the Washington Football Team a trio of Sewell, Haskins, and Young to build their future around.
