Green Bay Packers early 2021 NFL mock draft: WR early and often
We finish up this 2021 mock draft for the Green Bay Packers in the secondary. It’s a group that Packers fans should feel confident in heading into 2020, but could also use some work. Jaire Alexander is heading towards being a shutdown corner, and Kevin King might’ve done enough last season to earn a second contract. Chandon Sullivan has been effective in limited reps in the slot, and the safety duo of Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos looks very solid.
But what if Green Bay doesn’t bring King back? Or if Sullivan doesn’t run away with slot duties and struggles a bit in 2020? There’s not enough depth in this secondary at the moment, and prioritizing corner in the 2021 NFL Draft makes a lot of sense.
He might not have the attention of the national media just yet, but Arizona State corner Jack Jones will get there. He may be a bit undersized for the position, but he sure doesn’t play like it. Jones has very good transitional quickness in man coverage and shows great discipline in coverage as well. His ball skills are definitely there, and if he improves in the run game, his stock will definitely go up as the 2020 season goes on.
