It’s time to finally get some wide receiver help for the Green Bay Packers in this early 2021 mock draft.

The Green Bay Packers exceeded expectations in the 2019 season, finishing 13-3 and reaching the NFC Championship game under first-year head coach Matt LaFleur. LaFleur got Aaron Jones more involved, Aaron Rodgers played efficient football, and the Smith brothers were fantastic rushing the passer all season long.

There were a few needs that many believed the Packers would address in the offseason. Linebacker was near the top of the list, especially with Blake Martinez walking in free agency. Green Bay brought in Christian Kirksey, who is very effective when healthy, and a downhill thumper in Kamal Martin in the 2021 NFL Draft.

However, most analysts believed finding someone to play opposite Davante Adams at wide receiver was priority number one, and yet, the Packers failed to draft one back in April or even bring one in as an undrafted free agent.

Instead, LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst drafted Rodgers’ potential successor in Jordan Love and focused on building like the 49ers in the run game, selecting running back A.J. Dillon and tight end/H-back Josiah Deguara on day two of the 2020 NFL Draft.

After all of this, the pressure will be on for the receiver room. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is entering a pivotal year three, and Allen Lazard will look to build on a solid finish to the 2019 season. There’s also a chance Equanimeous St. Brown breaks out this season. The team also brought in Devin Funchess in free agency.

Still, it doesn’t feel like enough, and it may cost the Packers, as Rodgers probably has just a few more years left in his career. The 2020 season may not be as good as many expect, so let’s get the ball rolling on an early 2021 mock draft for the Green Bay Packers.
