Auburn – Seth Williams, Wide Receiver, Junior

Playing in 12 games last season as a sophomore, Seth Williams set the bar for the Auburn receiving corps. Now with a better-established chemistry with quarterback Bo Nix and another year of experience for both of them, Williams is setting up for a strong junior campaign when the 2020 season takes place.

During the 2019 season, Williams led Auburn in pretty much every receiving category, at least the more talked about stats. His 59 receptions topped the team charts as did his 830 receiving yards. However, his touchdown total, being eight, is what will draw attention in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Over a total of 22 games with Auburn over two seasons, Williams has hauled in a total of 13 touchdowns. With a 6’3″, 224 frame according to Auburn’s roster, Williams has the makeup of the prototypical red zone threat in the NFL. To put that into perspective, D.K. Metcalf was along the same lines in frame at Ole Miss, being charted at 6’4″, 225. However, Metcalf never caught more than seven touchdowns in a season.

If Williams can continue to build on his sophomore season and further prove that he can be a reliable red-zone target, that’ll be enough to draw draft consideration in the first few rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft.
