2. Tennessee Titans

This one is another no-brainer. The Tennessee Titans were on the doorstep of the Super Bowl in 2019 but were downed by the Chiefs in Kansas City. General manager Jon Robinson has put a nice core together in Nashville, but the 2017 NFL Draft wasn’t his finest moment, at least in the first round.

With the fifth overall selection, the Titans took wide receiver Corey Davis out of Western Michigan. Davis was pegged as the top receiver in the class, showing reliable hands and a good route tree in college. Don’t forget about his production either.

However, he hasn’t put it together in the NFL, with his best season coming back in 2018 (65 catches, 891 yards, four touchdowns). Some of the lack of production is a result of the Titans philosophy, but he hasn’t put it all together. A.J. Brown has passed him by in just one season.

This is a solid Tennessee team, especially on defense. Ryan Tannehill had a very efficient season once he took over. But, imagine this squad with Patrick Mahomes at the helm from the 2017 NFL Draft. Yes, Marcus Mariota was still the incumbent at quarterback, but Mahomes would have been an upgrade.

The team could still have Jack Conklin in place with Mahomes’ rookie deal and could’ve been the team to dethrone New England a season sooner. This is a blunder that keeps them from reaching a Super Bowl.
