This pick is actually the one I had made in my final 2020 mock draft of the 2020 NFL Draft season.
I think Jordan Love is a huge upside player and you take shots on those guys at the QB position.
After the 2018 season, Jordan Love had really grown his hype to a significant level. The 2021 NFL Draft mystery man at QB is Trey Lance, and Love was that kind of guy last year at this time.
He completed 64 percent of his passes with 32 touchdowns and just six interceptions, and he also rushed for seven touchdowns.
The Chargers could have taken Love at six overall in the real 2020 NFL Draft and it probably would have been a fun pick, but in a re-draft with no 2019 season where Love was really put under the microscope, I think he goes a lot higher than the later portion of the first round to the Green Bay Packers like he did.
