Actual pick: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
Again — no 2019 season means everyone from LSU is affected.
Justin Jefferson was a quarterback turned receiver who was really just cutting his teeth in the 2018 season. He broke through in 2019 as one of the best wide receivers in the country, but it was Joe Burrow’s emergence that really helped raise all boats on that roster.
Tee Higgins was considered the next great thing coming out of Clemson and he had a tremendous career there, setting the school record for touchdown catches and establishing himself as a legitimate top option at the X.
The Vikings lost Stefon Diggs, and Higgins is not a similar player by any means but his size and big-play ability could be perfect for Gary Kubiak’s offense.
