player. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Javon Kinlaw. DL. South Carolina. 18

Actual pick: Austin Jackson, OT, USC

Even though the Miami Dolphins ended up using this selection on an offensive tackle — and rightly so — the value of Javon Kinlaw here is too good to pass up on.

Without the 2019 season, there was still enough on Kinlaw to peg him as an easy first-round talent.

He has always struggled with consistency but Kinlaws flashes of dominance are jaw-dropping and if he can put it together, imagine him on a defensive front with Christian Wilkins in that Miami scheme.

Kinlaw was selected a few picks prior to this by the San Francisco 49ers so the Dolphins never had a shot at this scenario, but thinking about this pick here after their quarterback pick early on, this could have really elevated their 2020 draft class.
