Scouting Report. CB. Alabama. player. 123. Pick Analysis. Trevon Diggs. 17

Actual pick: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

The Dallas Cowboys really struck gold in the 2020 NFL Draft with the majority of their selections.

CeeDee Lamb fell to their first-round pick and Trevon Diggs fell to their second-round pick.

After his performance in his two seasons transitioning to cornerback from the wide receiver position in 2017 and 2018, Diggs was looked at as a lock for the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

That didn’t happen.

Diggs’ inconsistency was a bit exploited over the 2019 season, so the fascination surrounding him after 2018 might not have worn off quite as much.

The Cowboys obviously had a need at the cornerback position and in this scenario, they have to take Diggs here with the run on cornerbacks happening early in round one.
