Marvin Wilson. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. IDL. Florida State. 7. player. 46

The Indianapolis Colts have put together an impressive roster with talented players on both sides of the ball. General manager Chris Ballard has done a great job of building this roster and head coach Frank Reich sure seems like the right guy to lead them into the future. They certainly have a good enough squad to make a run at an AFC South title in 2020, but they fell well short of their ultimate goals in this Madden simulation.

On the bright side, the Colts end up holding the seventh overall pick in this mock draft. Indianapolis made a significant addition on the defensive line earlier this offseason when they traded for DeForest Buckner and locked him in with a long-term extension. Buckner is a tremendous player, but they still certainly have some holes up front. With this in mind, Marvin Wilson stands out as a strong fit for this team.

Wilson is one of the best defensive prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft class and is going to be an absolute wrecking ball on the inside. He is a quick and powerful defensive tackle who has an explosive first step and strong hands. He does a great job of getting off of the ball and through the gap quickly. His upside as a one-gap penetrator is tremendous and he can anchor in and two-gap at a high level as well.

Adding Wilson to the mix on the Colts’ defensive line would give them an elite-level interior duo that they could build their entire defense around.
