QB. Ohio State. Justin Fields. 4. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 52. player

The Jacksonville Jaguars are moving forward with Garnder Minshew as their starting quarterback for the 2020 season. Minshew certainly showed some promise as a sixth-round rookie last season and deserves a chance to perhaps become their franchise quarterback of the future. That being said, if they are picking this high in the 2021 NFL Draft, they will likely have an opportunity to replace him with a top-tier prospect.

With the fourth pick of this mock draft, the Jags find themselves in a position to land a new franchise quarterback. There are a couple of interesting options remaining on the board, but Justin Fields stands out as the best choice for the Jags.

Fields is an incredibly athletic quarterback prospect who shines as a dual-threat player. He has great size for the position, is mobile inside and outside of the pocket and does a great job of throwing on the run. Fields is an extremely powerful runner who is difficult to sack in the backfield and bring down when he is on the run. He also has a big arm and impressive accuracy to all levels.

The Jaguars are in the middle of a rebuild and have done a nice job of finding young, impact talent on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, they certainly have a lot of work to do on offense. Adding Fields to the mix would give the Jags a true franchise quarterback who they could use to build their offensive attack around. He is a tremendous 2021 NFL Draft prospect who has big-time upside at the next level.
