Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Caleb Farley. player. Virginia Tech. 27. 124

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs do not repeat as Super Bowl champions in this simulation but put themselves in a position to land a potential impact player in this 2021 NFL Draft process. Cornerback still stands out as a massive need for this team and Caleb Farley has probably fallen further than he should have.

Farley has struggled with injuries in college, but when he is on the field, he shows the ability to be a real shutdown corner on the outside. Farley has a great combination of size, length, speed and athleticism that allows him to shine in man-to-man coverage. He presses at the line of scrimmages extremely well and closes on the ball quickly. The Chiefs’ current cornerback situation is pretty ugly, but Farley would change that quickly.

Scouting Report. EDGE. Wake Forest. Carlos Basham Jr.. 28. player. Pick Analysis. 16

Carlos Basham Jr. is not the most explosive or athletic edge rusher in the 2021 NFL Draft class, but he is a tough and physical player who has a bright future at the next level. Basham is an extremely high motor player who is powerful at the point of attack and closes on the quarterback quickly.

He is never going to be a guy who wins with speed around the edge, but Basham is an impressive power rusher who is also strong against the run. He is the perfect fit for the Buffalo Bills defense, fills a major need for the team and is a solid value selection in this range.
