2021 NFL Draft: First-Round mock draft using Madden 20 sim for draft order
I cannot get enough of Jayson Oweh and am thrilled to see him in a full-time role during the 2020 season. Oweh consistently popped off of the screen whenever he was on the field in 2019, showing a fantastic combination of burst, length and athleticism at the edge rusher position.
Oweh is a completely unproven and underdeveloped player, but his raw upside on the edge is extremely easy to see. Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman loves to build through the trenches and it easy to see why he could fall in love with Oweh. With a strong 2020 season, Oweh could go much earlier than this in the actual 2021 NFL Draft but stands out as an obvious fit for the Eagles right now.
The Green Bay Packers not getting Aaron Rodgers more pass catchers this offseason did not make any sense. They do not make the same mistake in this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, as they snag wide receiver Sage Surratt her at No. 26.
Surratt is a smooth and fluid receiver who has a knack for getting open against man coverage. He consistently gets great releases off of the line of scrimmage and consistently plays a physical brand of football. Surratt is a tough and aggressive receiver who tracks the ball in the air well and shows extremely strong hands.
The Packers typically like to add big and physical receivers to their mix and Surratt certainly fits the bill. Snagging him in the 2021 NFL Draft and pairing him with Davante Adams would take their offensive attack to the next level.
