Oregon. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Penei Sewell. 32

Led by one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the entire NFL, a forward-thinking head coach and an exciting cast of weapons, the Arizona Cardinals are one of the most interesting teams in the league. However, they struggled throughout this simulated Madden season and ended up holding the second overall pick of this mock draft.

With Kyler Murray on the roster, quarterback is not on the radar here, but the Cardinals still have plenty of strong options. They could go with a young impact defender to pair with Isaiah Simmons or another weapon for Murray in the passing game. In the end, the opportunity to snag an elite offensive tackle is impossible to ignore. Penei Sewell would be the guy.

Sewell is the best offensive tackle prospect in recent memory and arguably the best overall prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class. He is big, strong, athletic and consistently dominates as both a run blocker and pass protector. Sewell is explosive off of the ball, powerful at the point of attack and always takes care of his responsibility. Make no mistake about it, this guy is a franchise left tackle who undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level.

The Cardinals did extend left tackle D.J. Humphries this offseason and draft offensive tackle Josh Jones in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Both Humphries and Jones deserve a chance to make their mark on this offensive line, but Sewell is a much more talented player who would immediately take this offensive line to the next level.
