Oklahoma State – Chuba Hubbard, Running Back, Redshirt Junior

With over 2,000 yards rushing during the 2019 season, Chuba Hubbard is heading into the 2020 campaign being regarded as one of the most dynamic rushers in college football, and teams are taking notice.

Seeing 328 rushing attempts over 13 games, Hubbard averaged 6.4 yards per carry en route to 21 rushing touchdowns in 2019. His more than impressive stat sheet put him in the conversation for the Heisman and he is expected to replicate both the numbers and accolades this season.

A unanimous All-American, Hubbard was also named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Big 12. On the national level, he was a Walter Camp Player of the Year Finalist and a Doak Walker Award Finalist with being a Maxwell Award Finalist rounding out the list.

The rushing ability is absolutely there for Hubbard, but we saw similar numbers from Christian McCaffrey’s sophomore season as well (2,019 rushing yards). If Hubbard can bring up his receiving yards to better illustrate his complete game, he could very well be included in the top 10 pick conversation as teams look to replicate what the Panthers found in McCaffrey.

Even with a slight slip in his final season at Stanford, McCaffrey was still selected eighth. Should Hubbard have another impressive season, he could very well go higher.
