Picking the New York Jets’ three most underhyped rookies in 2020.

The New York Jets2020 NFL Draft class is going to be a very important one for the immediate future of the team.

I would be so bold as to say that Mekhi Becton needs to be one of the biggest difference-making rookies in the 2020 season or Adam Gase is probably in serious danger of losing his job after (or during) the year.

The Jets’ decision to prioritize offensive line early in the 2020 NFL Draft was certainly not unexpected or wrong, but their need at wide receiver was also substantial and they had to wait until late in the second round for Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims, not a bad consolation prize for passing on receivers in the first round.

Becton will be tasked with helping keep Sam Darnold upright and healthy, two things that have been tough for the Jets’ offensive line to do in the past couple of seasons.

Mims could be tasked with becoming the WR1 in short order for a team that doesn’t have one.

But what about the rest of this Jets draft class in 2020? What players are being underhyped from this class?

Let’s take a look at the Jets’ three most underhyped rookies for 2020.
