Best Available Wide Receiver – Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders

Based nearly purely off opportunity, Henry Ruggs III has the best chance of having the most fantasy football impact this coming season. With few other options in the passing game for the Raiders to turn to, Ruggs could see a large load of the pass attempts come his way.

The obstacle and red flag for Ruggs will be if he can stay healthy after battling injuries last year. If on the field, he could easily become the Raiders’ version of division rival Tyreek Hill. However, if things go south in any way, he could fall into the conversation that instead involves players like John Ross.

The other thing that could hinder Ruggs’ season is the quarterback. There’s still uncertainty of who will see the majority of the snaps at the position in Las Vegas, whether it be Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota.

Regardless, as stated above, the volume of chances Ruggs could see should be enough to put him in the conversation as the best rookie wide receiver in fantasy football this season.

A year ago Tyrell Williams was relevant for the same reason and Ruggs has a higher ceiling than Williams did. The growth alone ahead for Ruggs makes him an intriguing pick in dynasty and keeper leagues as well.
