Best Available Quarterback – Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Of the 2020 NFL Draft class, there should be little question of who will be the top player available in fantasy football circles at the quarterback position. Joe Burrow is the only quarterback of the class that will be a starter the first week, barring injury. Some of the other picks from the class will have an opportunity to start, but Burrow is the only one with the job from the first day he steps on the practice field.

On top of having the full season to produce, Burrow also has plenty of weapons that will make it easier for him to have a fantasy impact. At the top, A.J. Green will be a huge boost to Burrow’s development if healthy, but even if Green doesn’t play there are other options. Rookie Tee Higgins will be helpful as well as Tyler Boyd, John Ross, and Auden Tate.

Cincinnati also has a strong rushing game that takes the pressure off of any rookie quarterback. Joe Mixon has been a steady option in the backfield and Giovanni Bernard still operates as a solid change-of-pace back.

The biggest question mark for Burrow will be his offensive line. If he can stay upright, he should have a solid season on the fantasy spectrum. He should still be selected in redraft and keeper leagues as a backup value with high potential, but in dynasty leagues, he has a bright outlook and should be a top target.
