Bust Tight End – Harrison Bryant, Cleveland Browns

With so few tight ends from the 2020 NFL Draft class that will have an impact this coming season, not just in fantasy football, but football in general, it’s hard to pinpoint a bust. However, from a fantasy perspective, Harrison Bryant might be the closest.

The Browns are expected to use two tight ends frequently and Bryant is third on the depth chart behind Austin Hooper and David Njoku. There are still doubts around Njoku, which could push people to monitor or even pick Bryant. Here’s the best advice I can give there. Don’t. Could Bryant contribute in some ways? Sure. Will he be fantasy relevant any time soon? No.

Bryant will be used in some packages, but not enough to warrant fantasy football value. Even if he steals a few scores from Hooper or Njoku, he will basically be a glorified fullback in the Kevin Stefanski offense. His value shouldn’t be more than, or quite honestly close to, that of Kyle Juszczyk, a close comparison to how the Browns could try to use Bryant moving forward.

Another comparison could be Nick Boyle in Baltimore. Someone who has a very defined and important role to the team, but really won’t do anything in terms of fantasy football over the course of the season.
