The NFL is a copycat league, and one of the players every team would love to have on their defense right now is a player like 49ers linebacker Fred Warner.

Warner was a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and has been absolutely outstanding for the 49ers, filling up the stat sheet not only as a tackler but in coverage with pass breakups and interceptions.

He can also blitz and showed that in 2019 with three sacks.

Troy Dye may not be the exact same player as Warner coming out, but he’s physically pretty similar at 6-foot-3, 231 pounds, and he has the athleticism and range to be an impact player early in his career.

Like Warner, Dye excels on all three downs against the run, in coverage, and blitzing.

He was all over the field for the Oregon defense and if he is able to come in and provide that same type of versatility and three-down effectiveness in Minnesota, he could be a starter as a rookie.
