2021 NFL Draft: Justin Fields tops Trevor Lawrence in QB-rich mock draft
3. Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
If the Bengals are picking this high in the 2021 NFL Draft, it’s going to be because Joe Burrow struggled to adapt to his surroundings, and the Bengals will have to do everything possible to get him in position to succeed.
Penei Sewell is a rare offensive tackle talent who would probably be worthy of the top overall pick in the NFL Draft, and some analysts are saying he’s the best tackle prospect they’ve scouted in the past two or three decades.
That’s high praise, but Sewell has earned it.
He’s an All-Pac 12, All-American, all-everything at offensive tackle who gets the job done in the running game but he’s really impressive as a pass protector.
Selecting him here would allow the Bengals to move Jonah Williams either to the right side or to guard.
