Pick Analysis. Samuel Cosmi. 19. Scouting Report. OT. Texas. player. 13

The Los Angeles Chargers began rebuilding their offense in the 2020 offseason, starting on the offensive line.

They brought in veteran right tackle Bryan Bulaga and traded left tackle Russell Okung to get right guard Trai Turner, one of the best at his position in the NFL.

I thought the Chargers would use one of their top two picks in the 2020 NFL Draft on the left tackle position given how deep of a class it was at the top, but they never did.

In fact, after using their top selection on quarterback Justin Herbert, the Chargers went defense after trading back into round one, selecting Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray.

If the Chargers are going to watch their new quarterback have success, they need to make sure he’s well protected at all times and adding Samuel Cosmi out of Texas accomplishes that.

Cosmi is developing into one of the best tackles in the country after coming to Texas with some very high expectations. He’s not a finished product and needs to add some strength to his base, but Cosmi has the look of a future stud at left tackle in the NFL with great feet, length, and hand punch.
